1. About this policy

This policy explains how the Get Postd website, operated by SYOS by SS FZC, uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser storage and tracking pixels. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage and session storage, or a pixel (a small piece of code that sends information to a provider), work in comparable ways. In this policy we call them all “cookies”.

2. Our approach

By default, the website only uses what is strictly necessary for it to work. Analytics and advertising tools are only used if we have switched them on, and even then they only load after you accept them. If none are switched on, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and no cookie banner is shown.

Analytics and advertising tools on this website are not currently enabled.

3. Strictly necessary and functional

These are needed for the website and checkout to work, or to remember a choice you have made. They do not require your consent.

  • Cookie choice (local storage, gp-analytics-consent): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask on every visit. Only used when analytics tools are enabled. Stays until you clear your browser data.
  • Campaign tags (session storage, gp-utm): if you arrive from a link with campaign tags (UTM parameters), they are kept for your browser session so they can be passed on when you go to checkout. Deleted when you close the browser tab. [TO CONFIRM: whether this should be treated as analytics and only stored after consent for EU/UK visitors.]
  • Security and hosting: our hosting provider (Vercel) may use strictly necessary technologies to deliver the website securely and protect it from abuse.
  • Checkout: when you pay, Paddle's checkout opens on our checkout page. Paddle, our reseller, runs it and uses its own cookies there, including for fraud prevention. These are covered by Paddle's policies, not this one.

4. Analytics and advertising (only if enabled, and only with your consent)

If we switch on any of the tools below, they will only load after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you click “No thanks”, they do not load.

  • Google Analytics 4 (not currently enabled), provided by Google. Helps us understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are viewed. Sets cookies such as _ga.
  • Meta Pixel (not currently enabled), provided by Meta Platforms. Helps us measure and improve adverts on Facebook and Instagram. Sets cookies such as _fbp.
  • TikTok Pixel (not currently enabled), provided by TikTok. Helps us measure and improve adverts on TikTok. Sets cookies such as _ttp.

These providers decide how long their cookies last and may use the information for their own purposes, including advertising, as described in their own privacy and cookie policies. Using them may involve transferring data outside your country, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

[TO CONFIRM: consent banner required before enabling analytics for EU/UK visitors. The site shows a simple Accept / No thanks banner when an analytics ID is set; confirm it meets EU/UK requirements, including an easy way to change your choice later, before enabling analytics.]

5. Changing your choice

  • To change your choice, clear this website's data in your browser settings. The banner will then appear again on your next visit. [TO CONFIRM: add a “Cookie settings” link so visitors can change their choice from the website itself.]
  • You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may stop parts of the website working.
  • Some providers offer their own opt-outs, such as Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on and the ad settings in your Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account.

6. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we change the cookies we use, for example if we switch on an analytics tool. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
